Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-10
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. They are commonly used to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, or process transactions.
2. Cookies on Torify
The Torify API itself (any /v1/* endpoint) does not set, read, or rely on cookies. API requests are stateless and authenticated via per-call x402 payment or the X-API-Key header.
The Torify website (torify.dev) sets no first-party cookies of its own. We do not run analytics, advertising, A/B testing, or tracking scripts.
3. Third-Party Cookies (Checkout Only)
When you initiate a Pro subscription via the pricing page, you are redirected to Polar checkout at buy.polar.sh. Polar may set the following functional cookies during the checkout flow:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Polar session | Maintains the checkout session and prevents duplicate charges | Session |
| Fraud prevention | Detects bot or automated checkout attempts | Up to 30 days |
These cookies are set by Polar under their own domain and policy. See Polar's Privacy Policy for the authoritative list.
4. What We Do Not Do
- No Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any analytics
- No Facebook Pixel, Twitter Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or advertising trackers
- No session replay tools (FullStory, Hotjar, etc.)
- No fingerprinting beyond what Cloudflare uses for bot detection
5. How to Control Cookies
You can refuse or delete cookies via your browser settings. Note that blocking Polar checkout cookies may prevent Pro subscription purchase from completing. The Torify API (per-call x402 and API key auth) will continue to work without any cookies.

6. Updates to This Policy
If we add new third-party services that set cookies, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
